Yeah, Holy Innocents is a feast (??!!) I find v confusing and difficult. But important. Perhaps if I’d gone to Mass instead of reading German theology (and in the interests of full disclosure, I should report that I was only reading biographies and intros to German theologians, not the weighty tomes themselves) I might have staved off the blues. But then, I also might not have had the glorious walk in the rain.
We find it hard to stand the world on its head. It is useful to do it sometimes.
