Dear God, please bless Barak Obama (with the presidency)
and John McCain (with a long an happy retirement).

The clergy of the diocese met today.  The meeting was well planned and constructive.  I enjoyed it.

I only flinched twice at accidental sexism.

… and once when I I tried to navigate the conversation:  ‘I go stalking on my day off.  What do you do?’

1. some days are just like that
2. the good is too easily lost amidst the unfortunate and the necessary
3. truth is  easier to cope with than misplaced ‘niceness’
4. nastiness is rarely truthful
5. you know you should have stopped working half an hour ago when you turn up your own drive and find that it isn’t.

An early All Soul’s Tide eucharist (schedule demands…), the lighting of the graveyard and then a Halloween Party with well travelled candy corn, pumpkin carving and real live children.  Even Molly got into it, arching her back and hissing (well, almost.  She was certainly less than pleased).
